Important Announcement from Student Services – Attendance Procedure
In an effort to simplify and streamline the process of notifying the school of your child’s absence, we have created a unique email address which parents can now use to send in their absentee notices. This will eliminate the need to call school and/or send in a handwritten note in the event of your child’s absence. This process became effective on September 24, 2018. The email address is: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The exclusions to this are:
If you are requesting 3 or more discretionary days, you must still complete a Discretionary Absence Form and sent it in to Student Services.
If you are requesting a day for a religious holiday not identified by the Howard County Public School System school calendar, please complete a Religious Obligation Form.
