MARYLAND STEM FESTIVAL AT WILDE LAKE HS: WLHS is supporting the Maryland STEM Festival in hosting an event this Friday afternoon, November 1st, for students interested in STEM careers and their parents/guardians. The event is from 11:45am-3:00pm at Wilde Lake High School and includes lunch and giveaways. There will be over 20 minority STEM professionals available to meet with students about STEM careers. County Executive Ball is the keynote speaker, there is a panel discussion about the importance of STEM to minority communities, and there will be a college discussion with author Valarie Austin.
We hope you will be able to share this information with the high school students and staff in your network and encourage students to attend.
