A Note About Backpacks
As you begin shopping for school supplies, we wanted to share an important update regarding backpacks. This year, students will keep their backpacks in their lockers during the school day rather than carrying them from class to class.
Keeping backpacks in lockers helps create a safer and more organized learning environment by reducing hallway congestion, minimizing tripping hazards, and ensuring classroom and building exits remain clear. It also helps protect students' belongings by reducing opportunities for backpacks to be misplaced, damaged, or tampered with throughout the day.
Students will have time between classes to visit their lockers and bring the materials they need for each class. Thank you for your partnership in helping us create a safe, welcoming, and student-focused environment for everyone at Ellicott Mills Middle School.
